A May epic doing the Milford Track in early Winter.
Highlights of the trip were:
- The views … spectacular
- The cold … very deep valley up the Clinton with limited sun and a decent frost.
- The snow … quite cold and stormy up to the Mackinnon Pass … was potentially giving a few of the slower group in our party early symptoms of hypothermia
- The rain … from Mackinnon Pass down to Dumpling Hut it was quite wet.
- The hut warden … she travelled with us and turned on lighting even though it was out of season.
- The fellowship … good hut talks and great group of people to tramp with.
